Just send us a message, and we will gladly be there waiting for you

6.- If I am staying at a hotel, where would the meeting point be?

It's almost always outside the lobby. If, for any reason, the meeting point is different due to hotel policies, you will be informed in advance, and we will be very specific about the meeting place to avoid misunderstandings

7.- What time would you pick me up on the private tour to Chichen Itza?

Any time you want. A private excursion is a symbol of exclusivity, and we adapt to your requirements and needs

Outside your Airbnb, apartment, or residence. Just send us a message with your location on Google Maps, and we will be there right on time

9.- Is the pickup time the same if I am staying in the Cancún Hotel Zone, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum?

It does not matter where you are; the van will go right to your location, whether it's in Cancún, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum. It is a private tour to Chichen Itza, so we adapt to you, your needs, and your expectations

10.- What type of vehicle will pick me up?

Usually, they are vans that take you to where the bus is that departs for Chichen Itza. However, there is also the possibility that the bus itself will pick you up. It all depends on the number of reservations for that specific day

11.- What should I do if the transportation for the private tour to Chichen Itza does not arrive at the exact confirmed pickup time?

It's highly unlikely that this will happen, as the transportation is always there at least 30 minutes early. But if it does happen, it means there is a problem on the road. Please send a message via WhatsApp immediately so we can find out what is happening and make the necessary adjustments

19.- Is the pickup time based on the Cancún (Quintana Roo) time or the Yucatán time?

If the private excursion departs from Quintana Roo, the schedule will be based on the time zone of the state from which the transportation leaves, since we also have private excursions to Chichen Itza departing from Merida

No problem. Just let us know the number of bags so we can assign appropriate transportation that fits your space needs. Since it is a private excursion, we can drop you off at another hotel or even at the airport after the excursion, in case you need to catch a flight. It is a private excursion, so it adjusts to your needs and requirements

We only ask that you always share all these details with anticipation so we can be prepared

Unfortunately, no. It is strictly prohibited to climb the Chichen Itza pyramid

You have to wake up early, but the experience of Chichen Itza without the large crowds is very rewarding

3.- Is a certified guide included in the private Chichen Itza tour?

You can customize your package on our website, where you can add a private guide who will be dedicated to you. Because of the distance you must travel from the Riviera Maya (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum) to Chichen Itza it’s not close; in fact, it is in another state (Yucatán). Additionally, the places you visit, such as the meal, the cenote, and the brief stop in Valladolid, all add up to an approximate total of 12 hours for the excursion

9.- If I am interested in visiting Valladolid, how much free time will we have to explore the Pueblo Magico (Magic Town)?

We can stay for as long as you wish. Based on our experience, 1 hour is more than enough

10.- Are technical or rest stops included on the way to and from Chichen Itza?

Yes, we can stop at a restroom, a store, or any place that catches your attention. You decide the order of the places you wish to visit

11.- Besides the entrance to Chichen Itza, does the tour cost cover the entrance to the cenote and Valladolid?

If you add the entrance or the cenote when you build your package, then the entrance is included. The visit to Valladolid is 100% optional and depends on whether you feel like visiting Valladolid or not

12.- Does the guided visit in Chichen Itza have a predetermined duration, or is it adjusted to my pace?

We adjust to your pace; it is a private excursion, and we do what you want. We only ask that you tell us your expectations so we can see if they align with the distance between the places and the opening times of the attractions

1. Is food included in the excursion price? You can add food in the menu options; however, this food is a regional Yucatecan style buffet

The main options are:

  • Cochinita pibil
  • Pollo pibil
  • Spaghetti
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Salads
  • Fruit

If you have a very strict diet or your expectations are different, you can choose not to select this option, and we can take you to a restaurant according to your budget and taste; however, you would pay for this restaurant yourself

We can take you to restaurants focused on vegans, vegetarians, etc. Please send a message and we can gladly go into detail on this topic. Let's talk about your expectations

2.- What time would lunch be if I add it to the Chichen Itza tour?

Ideally, it would be after Chichen Itza; however, if you are hungry, we can make a brief stop somewhere on the road for a light breakfast. But we can modify the itinerary since it is a private excursion, you decide the order of the places to visit

3.- Are drinks included in this private excursion?

Yes, there is a cooler with cold water bottles as part of the excursion. If you would like a specific type of water, drink, or snack, we can add it for an extra cost

  • Fruit

Yes, we can make a quick stop at a store on the way to Chichen Itza. Additionally, there are options for small snacks or treats at all the locations, and we can also make several foods stops if you wish. This is one of the benefits of a private tour to Chichen Itza, where you set the pace and the expectations are tailored to you

7.- Can I bring my own food and drinks on the tour?

Absolutely, you can bring your own food, especially if you are on a very strict diet, as this way you can ensure it is something you like and you can complement it with some of the food you do like, so that you are satisfied and have the energy to enjoy the day

8.- On the private tour to Chichen Itza, what time is the main meal served?

The most advisable and common time is after Chichen Itza. Keep in mind the physical exertion of walking around Chichen Itza; the effort and the heat can be intense

However, we can schedule the meal at the time that you wish

9.- Is water offered in the transportation or do I have to buy it?

There's always a cooler with water bottles available for you. But we can make a stop at a store if you need a specific drink like a Gatorade, beers, milk, sodas, juices, etc.

Yes, the ideal is to first check the food options, presentation, place, and atmosphere, and if it does not meet your expectations, we can visit other places. Share your expectations what you expect, what you like and that way, they can give you several options that align with what you want to eat. Communication plays a very important role

2.- Can I pay with a credit/debit card?

Yes, you can pay with a credit card, just let us know so we can bring the bank terminal. Keep in mind that you will likely be charged a commission, usually 4-5%, for using the payment gateway intermediary. The ideal payment method for us is cash; it can be in pesos, USD, or euros

3.- Can I pay with a credit/debit card, and are all major brands (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) accepted?

Visa or MasterCard definitely yes. For American Express, please let us know, as some terminals do not have connectivity

4.- Can I pay the entire amount in cash when you pick me up?

Yes, that is the ideal method the easiest, cheapest, and most convenient for us. We will send you a message the day before to confirm that everything is set for tomorrow. However, depending on the total amount, it is very likely that a small deposit will be requested to demonstrate that it is a serious reservation and that you are committed to attending the private excursion to Chichen Itza

We are very transparent in our descriptions, and we do not have hidden charges. Everything that is included and not included should be explained to you in detail

If you have an INAPAM credential or are a student, you get a discount at the archaeological zone. In that case, when you request a quote, do not select the Chichen Itza entrance option so you can manage the aforementioned promotion with them directly. For the other cases, please send a message, as each situation must be analyzed separately

I would like to clarify that if you are looking for a low price, the private excursion to Chichen Itza is not the way to go, as the price is higher for a private trip. Send a message, and we can provide you with options that fit a tighter budget, keeping in mind that you would be sacrificing the freedom you have on a private excursion

That's correct, it is the ideal process: paying a deposit to secure the reservation and paying the rest in cash on the day of the excursion. When you make your reservation, you can choose the option to pay an advance to guarantee your booking

11.- If I decide to pay the remaining balance in cash on the day of the private tour, do you accept foreign currency (dollars, euros) or only Mexican pesos?

  • Mexican Pesos
  • US Dollars
  • Euros

12.- Do you have a special price for Mexican residents or locals (with an INE/credential)?

If you are a national and have an INE credential or a Mexican passport, Chichen Itza offers discounts. If this is the case, we ask that you do not select the Chichen Itza entrance option, and we will help you manage these types of discounts at the Chichen Itza ticket booths

Remember that the INE credential only applies to that person, meaning it is individual and does not apply to the rest of the people

13.- Is there any applicable discount for seniors or students?

Remember that the credential only applies to one person, it does not apply to a group of people; it is 100% personal

14.- What exactly is included in the 'federal fee/government tax' and can it be paid by card?

It's the price they charge to enter Chichen Itza. If you selected the option for Chichen Itza entrance when you made your reservation, we take care of covering those tickets, which we usually buy in advance. These tickets are the same price as if you bought them directly at the archaeological zone entrance ticket booth

"We went on this excursion while staying at the Riu Tequila in Playa del Carmen. Yes it's expensive (139 USD each!) and a long day (12 hours plus) but it's completely worth it and was one of the highlights of our holiday. We were picked up at 6am. The journey was comfortable and our Mexican guide Pedro was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the day - in fact he was one of the best guides we've ever had on an organised excursion."

"My wife and my 2 teenagers daughters had one of the best experiences we have had so far. As best, you can do the tour is going in private transportation, although it is a little more expensive, but avoid arriving in the hours where there are more people, you can arrive earlier and the sun does not bother you. The pyramids are very impressive, the history of the Mayan culture is fascinating and interesting. A must visit place!"
